A remote experience exchange meeting was held between NGOs with the Institutional Excellence Grant on (management and strengthening volunteer efforts in NGOs), and during this meeting the following was done
Introducing participants to the concept of volunteering, what are the rights, privileges and obligations of a volunteer within civil organizations, the obligations of the volunteer entity towards volunteers, in accordance with the Law Regulating the Practice of Civil Work 149 of the year 2019...
Exchanging experiences among participants about the challenges and problems facing volunteering and how to confront them.
Participants’ review of some experiences and models related to volunteer management.
A presentation of the Volunteer Work Charter and how to integrate it into the internal work systems of civil society organizations.
Get to know the Egyptian Scouts teams and how to benefit from their efforts to support volunteer efforts within civil society organizations.
It is worth noting that the grant is in its first session, and applications for it have been opened during the month of August 2023, and 163 civil society organizations from 23 governorates have applied for the grant. According to a number of criteria, 55 civil society organizations were selected, representing 16 governorates.
